Welcome to Richard de Clare Community Academy, a wonderful school at the heart of the Halstead community.  We are pleased to welcome all visitors and prosective parents and carers to our school and look forward to building a positive relationship as your child begins their journey with us. Our aim is to ensure that every child feels happy, safe and excited about learning from the very start of their journey at Richard de Clare. 

At the heart of all we do are the children themselves. We have high expectations for behaviour and for engagement in learning, and we work hard to create a calm, purposeful and caring environment in which every child can succeed. As an inclusive school, we are committed to supporting all children, adapting to their individual needs, and we work closely with external agencies where specialist support is required. Through our dedicated staff team, an exciting curriculum and a strong emphasis on wellbeing, we want every child to thrive and become the very best version of themselves.

Our core values of being safe, being kind and being respectful guide everything we do. We believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential in helping children to flourish, and we greatly value the support of parents and carers. By working together, we can provide the consistency, encouragement and care that children need in order to achieve their full potential.
